Sandra illustrated her first book in 1983: The Teddy Bears' Picnic, a popular children's song by Jimmy Kennedy. Living in the country also provided plenty of time for reading, a life-long passion. Here young Sandra grew especially fond of riding and training horses, and became a dog owner for the first time. For four years, the family lived on a hundred-acre farm in Kentucky. Painting was a popular family recreation, and almost every family excursion included one or more easels and a variety of sketch pads, chalks, paints, and pencils. 6/27/2023 0 Comments World without end novel![]() You can see that the production values are not the same as Pillars of the Earth too. I watched 2 and a half episodes and threw in the towel. The screenplay is awful, the characters have been ruined by actions that are out of character, the actors ham it up so much that it seems they are embarrassed to be in this series. I found the story to only barely resemble the book in only a few key events. I wish I could say that the TV series did the book justice but sadly it falls flat. At over 1000 pages, if is a lengthy novel but it was such a gripping story I read it in under 2 weeks. Like Pillars of the Earth, World Without End is an excellent novel, full of historical drama but still accessible through the very human characters in the story. ![]() ![]() So I read and watched and Pillars of the Earth, which I loved despite some misgivings with the TV adaptation. ![]() 6/27/2023 0 Comments Hold by Claire Kent![]() ![]() Tawanda Muyeye was the hosts' top scorer with 28, but Kent collapsed from 94 for six, losing their last four wickets for a solitary run in the space of 15 balls. ![]() ![]() Kyle Abbott also starred for the visitors, claiming three for 23, as they skittled Kent for just 95 before reaching 89 without loss at stumps. And, as odd as it might sound, I find that I’m very protective of Christian, worried about revealing too much of his story. Well, I didn’t have to try hard at all with this story, and no matter how many times I’ve attempted to write this review, I find myself in tears. With any book I read, I hope to connect with the hero and heroine, to feel what it is the author is trying to convey. ![]() My review is a cheesy, rambling, hot mess, so read at your own risk. I'm going to start with a warning - this is probably the worse review I've ever written because of how deeply, how emotionally I connected with the hero. ![]() 6/26/2023 0 Comments Wish by A.J.
